High End 2012

Sometimes you run across products at shows that you have no rational purpose in owning, yet the object is so unique and carries such cachet that you find yourself asking, "Where can I get one of those?" Such was the case after visiting a display of Nagra products. Labeled as a Nagra SN. . . ,

. . .this tiny recorder was in fact the later version -- the SNST-R. The original SN was developed for the Secret Service at the direction of President Kennedy and certainly looked like a product straight out of a James Bond movie. The SNST-R was developed much later as a proper stereo recording device, and while it seems thoroughly vintage, it's available new for 1540.
