nlike in past years, Nordost did not introduce any new products at the High End show. However, for the first time in several years, Nordost's show system included a turntable. In addition to carrying on its usual demonstrations and cable comparisons, Nordost was spinning LPs on a system that included Raidho speakers, Simaudio electronics, a VPI turntable, Nordost QRT power products and a full loom of Nordost cables.

Nordost was celebrating its collaboration with Newvelle Records by spinning a selection of LPs from the company’s first two series. Newvelle Records is an innovative new company that produces original jazz on high-quality vinyl -- recordings that have received high praise from The Audio Beat and many other publications.

A week ago, Nordost and Newvelle announced that Newvelle’s fourth series would be recorded entirely with Nordost cables. Nordost president Joe Reynolds (right) and Newvelle co-founder Jean-Christophe Morisseau were on hand at the press event to provide details about the collaboration, including about Nordost’s revamping of the mastering facility with Nordost cabling. Anyone who has experienced the significant improvement in sound quality resulting from an upgrade in wiring knows that this collaboration should pay great dividends in terms of sound quality.
