PowerQuest: Filtration and Protection For A/V Needs

by The Audio Beat | June 5, 2019

udioQuest’s new PowerQuest 2 ($199.95) and PowerQuest 3 ($299.95) were designed to the same standards of all AudioQuest products despite their budget-level prices. They feature advanced filtration that is said to remove "more noise and distortion than other similarly priced power products," and they accommodate a range of system complexity. The PowerQuest 3 has eight outlets: two 4K/8K video-optimized, filtered outlets; two high-current outlets for amplifiers, powered speakers or subwoofers; and four filtered outlets for source components. The slightly smaller PowerQuest 2 has six outlets: one 4K/8K video-optimized outlet, one high-current outlet, and four outlets for source components. Both PowerQuest models include captive AudioQuest NRG power cords with Directionally Optimized Concentric-Geometry conductors.

The PowerQuest 2 and 3 have safety features found in AudioQuest's far more expensive Niagara-series products, including Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection and Extreme Voltage Shutdown. For convenience, both also feature signal-line protection and USB charging ports. Finally, both units come with a $1,000,000 Connected Equipment Protection Warranty.
