Marc,
I
recall, I think, that you have an IT background as well as in audio. Do you have a
preference for Windows/PC-based systems over Apple products for music applications or just
in general?
I
hear so much about Apple units being so well made and just working better than Microsoft
products. Do you have a personal preference?

I do have a professional background in IT, among other disciplines, although I'm
a dinosaur now, because I've been out of that biz for over 25 years.
I
can tell you that I use PCs; I'm getting ready to buy a new laptop, in fact. That's the
world I know. I understand others' use of Apple products, however, so I'm not prepared (or
able) to say that one is better than the other when it comes to sound. Both would be
dealing with the same data, but there certainly differences in the way operating systems
handle them. So I would say to choose the products that offer you the features you want at
a cost that works for your budget, regardless of operating system. Sorry I can't be more
