Allnic Announces Five New Products

by The Audio Beat | December 29, 2017

llnic Audio greets 2018 with a handful of new products, including a phono stage, two preamps, a mono power amp, and an integrated amp. All are designed and manufactured in South Korea and take advantage of materials, such as Permalloy transformer cores, and techniques Kang Sue Park of Allnic has been refining from the beginning.

The H-7000V ($16,500) is the replacement for Allnic's H-3000V phono stage. Like its predecessor, the H-7000V uses LCR equalization. It debuts Allnic's new multi-curve LCR circuit with four turnover (250Hz, 400Hz, 500Hz RIAA and 700Hz) and four roll-off (-16dB, -13.7dB RIAA, -11dB and -5dB) points. It has three inputs: a head-amplifier (electronic step-up) input, a traditional step-up transformer input, and a direct moving-magnet input for use with an external step-up. The H-7000V is fully transformer-coupled, uses no negative feedback and has only two gain stages. Four E810F tubes provide gain, and voltage regulation is all tube.

The L-8000 DHT ($21,900) is the latest addition to Allnic's directly heated triode product range. It is a transformer-coupled line-stage preamp with a constant low output impedance, and it uses tubes for voltage regulation. It is pure class A in operation and uses no negative feedback. It features new Allnic Absorb Gel tube-damping technology, and its 41-step single-contact volume control ensures no channel imbalance at any volume level.

Like the L-8000 DHT, the new L-7000 preamp ($14,900) features transformer-coupling. It is a true dual-mono design with a single gain stage, and it uses a 300B tube as a voltage regulator. Normally used as an output tube for amplifiers, the 300B voltage regulator has the ability to pass a good amount of current at low cathode-to-plate voltages. The L-7000 also uses Absorb Gel damping technology and a precision oil-clutched motorized volume attenuator.

The M-3000 Mk 2 mono amp ($17,900/pair) uses KT150 output tubes to produce 200 watts into 8 ohms in pentode mode and more than 90 watts of "SET-like” power in triode. On-the-fly pentode/triode switching allows users to choose the amp's output based on whim or musical selection. Notable features include large nickel/FeSi-core output transformers that provide for higher inductance with fewer windings; soft-start circuitry for high voltage supply to the plate of each tube, in order to prolong tube life with fewer issues; and separate analog current meters for each tube that make it easy to see the status of the tube at any time and to respond immediately to any variation in bias by use of the control knob for the tube.

Finally, the T-2000 integrated amp (above, $9990) commemorates Allnic's 25th anniversary. It outputs 100Wpc via KT150 output tubes in pentode mode and 50Wpc in triode. It also uses Allnic's 41-step silver-contact attenuator instead of a standard outsourced carbon-film potentiometer. It has only two driver stages and uses transformers with nickel/FeSi cores. Soft-start circuitry ensures longer tube life with fewer issues, and analog power-tube current monitors make it exceptionally easy to see the status of each tube at any time and to respond immediately to any variation in bias by use of the control knob for the relevant tube.

Each of these new products is available in either silver or black finish.
