To emphasize the message that CH Precision was introducing a new phono stage in its 10 Series tier, the company's demo was all analog. No streaming or digital discs were playable there, only good old-fashioned black slabs of vinyl spinning on your choice of a TechDAS Air Force One or Air Force Three turntable.

The P10 phono stage in its simplest configuration is a two-box affair ($76,000), with the dedicated power supply enjoying its own identical-looking case. It was also played as a dual-mono affair, meaning that the phono section was spread across four boxes ($132,000). Also on display was a passive chassis with a transparent lid to allow those so inclined to drool over, but not into, the inner workings.

With a massive power supply, ultra-low noise floor, seven optional EQ curves (additional EQ cards are $2250 per pair), tons of loading options, and the 10 Series improved mechanical grounding system, the P10 offers the promise of a leap from 1 Series phono performance. Many in the industry consider the original P1 at or near the pinnacle of phono-stage performance, but CH Precision was demonstrating that the P10 offers a significant step up in performance. Regular demonstrations comparing the two were conducted, and those in attendance had no difficulty appreciating the improvements.
