Tidal’s more affordable Vimberg line has a stunning new addition, the stand-mounted Amea (€11,000 per pair). This compact two-way features a 30mm/1 1/8" ceramic tweeter and 173mm/6 3/4" ceramic midrange/bass unit, or, in the case of the Amea D (€18,000 per pair), a 30mm diamond tweeter.

The rear baffle sports a 220mm/8 1/2" passive radiator, promising surprisingly deep bass from the elegantly facetted cabinet. Indeed, the styling seems to work even better here than it does with the larger Vimberg models, leading to the unedifying spectacle of reviewers jostling for first dibs on this little beauty.
