SME debuted and played its new integrated belt-drive turntable, the Synergy. The ‘table incorporates a magnesium SME IV tonearm sporting an Ortofon MC Windfeld PwTi cartridge, which drives a built-in Nagra switchable phono stage. Crystal Cable supplies phono and internal wiring. The solid-aluminum subchassis has four adjustable feet, and the control circuitry and power supply are isolated in a separate unit with speed options of 33, 45 and 78rpm and fine pitch adjustment. The platter weighs 4.6kg. A chrome record clamp is supplied.

The Synergy will be available in September for £14,950 (including VAT). US pricing was not available.
