Diptyque is a new addition to the vibrant French loudspeaker scene, a country that seems to possess more high-value, high-performance offerings than the rest of Europe put together. But even by French standards, the Diptyque loudspeakers are different. Thin panels, they employ the same "isodynamic" (or planar-magnetic) principle as Magnepan speakers, but they feature push-pull drive across the range, which is sonically and musically significant. The tall wooden baffle on the inside houses a planar-magnetic tweeter.

There are three models in all, the company showing the middle dp140 (€6900/pair) with a quoted bandwidth of 45Hz-20kHz, a 6-ohm nominal impedance and 86dB efficiency.
