High End 2018 • Hot Product

Never shy in scale or appearance, D’Agostino products are always uniquely D’Agostino, and the quarter-million-dollar (a pair), 500-pound (each) Relentless mono amplifier was no exception. The Relentless sports Dan D’Agostino’s signature green-lit power meter up front and center and abundant amounts of copper trim.

Walk around back and you find huge gold-plated binding posts, specially designed to match the scale of this beast. The Relentless is rated to produce 1600 watts at 8 ohms and 6000 watts at 2 ohms. The design produces the first 100 watts in class A. It’s hard to imagine setting this amp on anything less than an impenetrable amplifier stand, but if you do, the 360 carbon-stainless-steel feet are rounded to prevent any damage to your furnishings.

D’Agostino claims that the Relentless is the first truly fully balanced power amplifier, and it has a single balanced input. The amplifier is slated to begin shipping in July, and a matching preamplifier is under development.
