Constellation Audio is the latest purveyor of high-end, heavyweight components to appreciate the increasingly obvious fact that the next generation of serious music lovers won’t be able to afford or accommodate a separates system, at least not for some years yet. Leo (predicted price $5000, availability in the fall) is a tabletop audio system built into an impressively cast and facetted chassis -- more modern architecture than audio product.

It features three-way stereo speakers and a 6” subwoofer, is Bluetooth and streaming capable (Roon, MQA) and offers both analog and digital inputs, including an MM/MC phono stage. With striking yet discrete styling and a distinctly luxury feel, Leo could corner the luxury-apartment/holiday-condo market.
