Canada’s Simaudio has gone for the all-for-everyone approach with its new Moon Ace ($3500). This one box does everything the modern music lover could want, save turning signal into sound waves. It’s a 50Wpc integrated amplifier, has three analog inputs and eight digital inputs, and handles 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD up to 256. It incorporates a Moon MiND network streamer that can be driven with the iOS and Android MiND apps. There is a Bluetooth aptX receiver, the ability to stream Tidal, and a pin-sharp OLED display -- and that’s before you notice the MM phono input and headphone output. If you want something that does everything and does it as well as we’ve come to expect from this brand, then the asking price seems very reasonable indeed.
