The Ascona (€20,000), one below the company's flagship Grande Reference, is a handsome chunk of metal for those who like their turntables on the butch side. It features Acoustic Signature's resonance-controlled “Silencer” 50mm-thick aluminum platter, fitted with 54 solid brass Silencer modules, proprietary digital control for the three motors, the option of black or silver finish (the purple tinting is a light artifact), and facility for two tonearms. The Ascona weighs a hefty 180 pounds.
