Golden Ear Technology had two rather different speakers on static display.

Introduced at CES 2018 and honored with a CES 2019 Innovation Award, the DigitalActiv 3 ($1250 each) is a powered minimonitor that accommodates wireless streaming via Chromcast and Bluetooth. Dual class-AB amplifiers of differing output -- 200 watts for the 6" woofer and dual passive radiators, and 60 watts for the folded-ribbon tweeter -- provide the power.

Brand new is the Triton One.R ($6000 per pair), another Golden Ear passive/active floorstander that looks like a lot of speaker for its price both in person and on paper. It features three 5" x 9" subwoofers with a 1600-watt amplifier, four 7" x 10" bass radiators, two 5 1/4" midrange drivers, and a folded-ribbon tweeter. Bandwidth is quoted as 13Hz to 35kHz. Efficiency is given as 92dB and impedance as 8 ohms, meaning the Triton One.R should be easy to drive. There are also many fine design points, such as a floating crossover, inertially balanced bass radiators, and 56-bit DSP power to extend and flatten low-frequency response.
